Poetry For Jesus
I was chillin' on my swing set swing
When a turkey came
Oh what a thing
Feathers flappin' in the sunny sky
Landed in my yard
Oh my my
Turkey trouble
Turkey fun
Gobble gobble
Watch him run
In my garden
Can't deny
A turkey soaring
Way up high
He strutted past the flower bed
Pecked a pear
Went straight to his head
Neighbor kids were laughin' loud
We gathered 'round
Quite a crowd
Turkey trouble
Turkey fun
Gobble gobble
Watch him run
In my garden
Can't deny
A turkey soaring
Way up high
We chased him round the apple tree
Caught him nibbling granary
He flapped his wings
He took a glide
Brought the whole block out to side
Mom came out with breadcrumbs dry
"Who invited this feathered guy?"
Turkeys can't be choosers here
But this guy is a holiday cheer
