Poetry For Jesus
Oh, do not hoard your treasures here on earth,
Where moths and vermin swiftly bring decay,
And thieves can steal your riches in a mirth,
Leaving your heart in sorrow and dismay.
Instead, lay up your treasures in the skies,
Where they will never fade or be destroyed,
In heaven's realm, where truest treasure lies,
And where your heart will be forever buoyed.
For where your treasure lies, there too your heart,
So let it be in heaven's safe abode,
Where nothing can tear your riches apart,
And where your soul will find its truest road.
So heed these words and store your treasures high,
In heaven's vaults, where they will never die.
