Poetry For Jesus
Chip the Christmas tree likes to play and run
Dancing through the forest having lots of fun
With his shiny needles gleaming in the sun
He’s the jolliest tree you'll ever come upon
Chip waves to the squirrels as they scurry by
Singing with the robins in the bright blue sky
Bouncing over mushrooms giving it a try
He’s the happiest tree never asking why
Chip the Christmas tree he loves to laugh and sing
In the winter forest he feels like a king
Skipping over snowflakes while the bells all ring
He’s a merry spirit bringing joy to spring
Chip rolls down the hillside tumbling with glee
Splashing in the stream near the old oak tree
Building little twig boats setting them all free
Oh what a wonderful sight to see
Chip the Christmas tree plays with soft white snow
Chasing after deer that softly come and go
In his heart of hearts the love begins to grow
Lighting up the forest with a gentle glow
Chip the Christmas tree he loves to laugh and sing
In the winter forest he feels like a king
Skipping over snowflakes while the bells all ring
He’s a merry spirit bringing joy to spring
