In shadows deep, I stood,
A figure sought my good.
With whispers sharp and sly,
They plotted, oh, so high.
To paint me as the foe,
In tales they spun, so low.
But just when hope seemed lost,
I felt a gentle cost.
A light broke through the night,
Jesus, my guiding light.
He shielded me with grace,
In trials, found my place.
With peace that calmed my soul,
He made my spirit whole.
The truth, it rose anew,
In love, I found my view.
Forever I will sing,
To Him, my heart will cling.
Thank you, Lord, for your care,
In need, you’re always there.
