In shadows deep, I cried,  
Yet found no one beside.  
My pleas fell on deaf ears,  
Dismissed were all my fears.  

Censorship wrapped me tight,  
In silence, lost my fight.  
But through the darkened night,  
You held me, purest light.  

When all the world turned cold,  
Your love, a warmth to hold.  
In solitude, I wept,  
Yet in Your arms, I slept.  

You never turned away,  
My refuge, come what may.  
With grace that knows no bounds,  
In You, my hope resounds.  

Thank You, Jesus, for Your care,  
I know You are there, 
Forever, I will sing,  
Of love that You always bring.
