Little Gracie The Pigeon Visits The Grand Canyon

On a rooftop high,
Little Gracie would sigh,
Watching people rush,
In their daily hush.

With a heart full of dreams,
She longed for bright beams,
One morning so clear,
Adventure drew near.

Fluffing feathers wide,
She took off with pride,
Over buildings tall,
She felt free, not small.

The Grand Canyon glowed,
With colors bestowed,
Reds and oranges bright,
A breathtaking sight.

A gust caught her wing,
And she started to swing,
Tumbling, but then found,
She was gliding 'round.

A sparkle below,
Caught her eye, made her glow,
A bracelet so fine,
In the sun, it did shine.

A girl by the edge,
Crying near the ledge,
Gracie swooped down low,
To bring joy, not woe.

With a gentle drop,
The bracelet, a hop,
The girl’s face lit bright,
Gracie felt pure light.

With a dance in the air,
She flew home with care,
Little Gracie, so bold,
Found friendship, pure gold.
