The Curve-Billed Thrasher Hops And Digs
DownBurst Media
In my backyard, so bright,
A thrasher hops, pure delight.
With a curve upon its bill,
It digs and scratches, what a thrill!
Curious eyes, a lively spark,
Exploring soil, it leaves its mark.
Each little leap, a joyful dance,
In the garden, it takes a chance.
Uncovering treats, oh what a find,
Nature's treasures, sweet and kind.
With every peck, my heart takes flight,
In this moment, all feels right.
A simple joy, so close to me,
In the Thrasher's song, I feel free.
Thank you, bird, for your sweet cheer,
Reminding me that joy is near.
