Gracie The Pigeon Flew
DownBurst Media
This morning, Gracie flew,
My heart raced, what to do?
She perched upon the wall,
I feared she’d take a fall.
The neighbor’s dogs below,
Could chase her to and fro.
But then, with wings so wide,
She soared, a joyful glide.
Above the house she danced,
In sunlight, she entranced.
The dawn’s warm, golden hue,
Wrapped her in beauty true.
With every flap and turn,
My heart began to yearn.
For freedom, wild and free,
Gracie, just let it be!
In skies so vast and bright,
She found her pure delight.
And as she flew away,
I smiled at her ballet.
